I don't really have a 'favorite' per se....and I'm not done getting presents this year. I get more tomorrow, or so I've been told.
If I had to pick one right now though, it would probably be the trip that I was sent on during my birthday week. It was fun, calm, warm, and safe. Pretty much everything I had been hoping for.

Would you consider being in a relationship with a man who is an elementary school teacher (ie., loves kids, doesn't make a lot of money)?
I don't expect the person that I'm taking to take care of me, that's not why I date people. I expect them to be with me in a mutually supportive relationship, both emotionally and financially.
I expect them to pull their own weight, and to be gainfully employed, but as long as they bills are paid and I'm not sitting on the streets starving, I don't have an issue dating a person that doesn't make a ton of money. If they choose to go above and beyond my expectations, then more power to them and it is greatly appreciated, but I don't expect that from people.

I have to make cookies for a christmas party tomorrow. What kind should I make?
See, I'd make a few different kinds, but I like baking and things of that nature.
Otherwise, it depends on the kind of party it will be and the food preferences of the people that will be there. Exotic flavors and different combinations of ingredients are cool, but if you're hanging out with a crowd that feels that anything other than 'traditional' chocolate chip cookies (no chunks!) is evil, making all kinds of creative flavors will go to waste.

I don't really think about the whole 'wow, they're possibly gonna think about this in a sexual way later' thing when I'm working in a club. It's not a sexual act to me, I'm dancing and making myself happy up on stage, regardless of if people happen to enjoy watching me.

Have you ever had food poisoning?
I've had food poisoning more often that I care to admit. My immune system is all jacked up due to the SLE, so any and everything that can make a person sick ends up kicking my ass.

I think the whole concept of 'nice guys' is bullshit. As soon as somebody goes out of their way to tell me they're a 'nice' guy, I become suspicious. Nice or 'good' people don't need to proclaim it, they just act like themselves and prove it through their actions. There are both good and bad people everywhere, so my job doesn't automatically mean I can't or won't meet 'nice' guys. Do people seem to shamelessly misbehave and act like assholes when they are around me at a club....yeah, sometimes, but not all of them.
I've been horrified and disgusted by more people's actions at places like WalMart than I have by people at my job.

What qualities make a guy "special" in your eyes? Is it just some weird chemical reaction of instant attraction, or is it something more?
It's more than that.
I can be attracted to somebody off the bat, that's simple chemistry. That doesn't last very long though, so I need somebody that will talk *to* me as opposed to talking *at* me. I don't care if it's about science, design, feminism, stripping, or my love of things that sparkle....I just need to have somebody that engages in real conversation. Even if we don't agree on everything, I need a person that can communicate well.
I want to be treated like a person, not a prize to be won or a trophy. I can be a handful sometimes (normally when I'm really sick), so I need somebody strong enough to take the good with the bad, and respect and care about me even when I can't get out of bed for days at a time. Patience....I need it.
And the most important thing is respect. For me, the people around me, and the world in general. If I'm on a date and my date is rude/mean to the waitress, especially when they are only trying to do their job, I'm done.

We all know that porn is all over the internet, with people illegally downloading scenes. Would I be helping your career in any way by buying dvds where you are featured? I am just trying to establish how as a fan I might best support your career.
I'm gonna be kind of weird when it comes to this.
Looking at it one way, I want to say that buying DVD's that I'm in is a good thing. Not because I get any money when you buy them (I obviously don't), but because when you actually pay for a DVD it helps the 'circle of life' keep going when it comes to money for the companies. They're the ones that hire and pay me, so if they don't have any sales, they aren't hiring me for anything.
On the other hand, I just want to say to come see me at a club when I'm featuring. You get to see me in person, you can buy a DVD from me (that I sign), and I actually get some money from the sale. Hey, I have my selfish moments on occasion.

I don't know you. I don't determine whether a person is attractive by simply looking at them, it's more in their actions than whether or not they've got a pretty face.
Why do you think so many from the South do not share your political views?
I think it may depend on how they are raised, and what their outlook on life is. I've seen both sides of the coin, and while I could walk around being ignorant and pretend that everything is happy and perfect in the world, I can't do that. I'd rather try and make things better instead of keeping them the same.
Until people are taught to consider how and why people got to the place they are in the world, it won't change. The whole 'pull yourself up by the bootstraps' thing is bullshit. People born into poverty, or abusive homes, or any number of things that make a huge difference in how they may live their lives don't get the same starting point that others do. Everybody's got a story, so until we treat people like actual human beings, I can't sit by and watch others get screwed over by the 'big guys at the top'.
Well, that and I don't do the whole religious bullshit that a lot of people around my neck of the woods seem to be really interested in.

would you say you are a nerd or a geek?
I'm a total dork. I kinda love it. I will always be socially awkward, shy around most people, and would rather spend my time reading or other quiet stuff than going out to clubs or bars.
However, if I had to choose between nerd and geek, I'd consider myself to be more of a nerd.
Any TSA issues during your travel? (insert obvious "pat-down" joke here)
I refused the body scan and the super intense pat down. I did it with a smile, too. Even the people that were getting body scans still got patted down afterward, so I sure as fuck wasn't getting violated twice.
I would rather stand in line for 2 hours to go through the regular metal detectors than have them whisk me through their 'new' method. I'm of the frame of mind that if one of them touched me in certain areas I wouldn't be able to stop myself from smacking the shit out of them. TSA or not, if anybody touches me in certain places I will react in a negative way. It would've been all down hill from there....so I avoided the whole situation.
Fuck them and their bullshit methods of 'safety'. The 'terrorists' have already won, since people are too scared to even stand up and say they are uncomfortable with what some people are being told to do in the interest of keeping us 'safe'.

I noticed that feature dancers only have shows Th-Sat in a town, none Sunday. Any reason for that? Flight scheds. maybe?
Clubs normally don't have large crowds on Sundays in general, so it's harder to get a draw from people on the day normally committed to sports/Jesus/getting ready for the work week. In all my years featuring I've only worked one Sunday, and that was because it was the Super Bowl. It's a supply and demand thing.
Any chance of seeing you locally any time soon or does Ohio get all the attention?

Dachshunds and great danes are my favorite. I've had dachshunds since I was a kid, such sweet little dogs.

I only go to Starbucks about once a year or so, but when I go I do tip. I don't order things that are complicated or labor intensive, but I like to leave a tip as a good karma type thing. When in a relationship it is ok to fuck other people?
I think the dynamics of each relationship need to be examined by both parties involved before a decision either way should be made. Some couples probably don't have an issue with it, and some probably do. It's something that doesn't have a cut and dry 'yes' or 'no' answer.

I read a lot, paint, do yoga, go to local 'green' restaurants and events, meditate, do 'nature' type stuff, work with/help the homeless, take part in domestic violence awareness, figure out new things I like doing related to interior design, and make big messes with things I find at Home Depot. I'm a dork, I'm cool with it.

I don't have problems with legalizing prostitution in America. It's not my thing, but I am friends with quite a few escorts and 95% of them are kick ass people. It is obviously not the job for everybody, but if somebody actually wants to do it and knows the risks/benefits, etc. associated with it they should be able to do so.
I feel that the main reason prostitution is illegal in America is simply because we equate women having any opportunity to be in control, sexually or otherwise, is seen as 'killing traditional values'. It is normally hidden behind some lame ass speech about religion, but it tends to come down to women+sex=bad.
I think that if it were legalized and regulated, there'd be far fewer problems in multiple areas of law, from drugs to murders to missing people. Women wouldn't need to hide in the shadows and constantly worry about being arrested/hurt/killed. If a women chooses to engage in prostitution and is doing it because she WANTS to, not because she is being forced to by a pimp or sex trafficking, then she should be able to do it in a safe environment. We spend so much money cleaning up crimes that didn't have to happen, and could use those funds elsewhere if we just made an environment that people could go to if they choose to engage in those activities.
Oh, and for the record, I'm obviously talking about people over the age of 18.

I have a weird condition where I don't really feel pain most of them time unless it's crazy intense. I walked around with a dislocated shoulder for almost 10 days last year and didn't really feel it until about day number 8, dancing and shooting the whole time. It's weird.

We're all sensitive, emotional creatures, and sometimes we don't want to hurt people so we try to 'let them down easy', but quite often that ends up sending mixed signals to the person we're trying to break it off with. Being honest about it is the best way to go.

Everybody I have ever dated has been rather un-fond of feet, so they have never really gotten lovin' like that. As a result, I am actually stumped on any advice this time. That's a first.

I don't really go on Myspace anymore, as it seems to be mainly for bands and 14 years olds these days.

The only place I work in Ohio is Columbus, I think it's written into my contracts that I can't go to places within a certain radius of there, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Dream car would be either a Shelby GT 500 or a kick ass hybrid of some sort (as long as it's not a Prius).
I don't really believe there is such a thing as 'too old' in the general sense. Some people mature faster than others, and some just never grow up, so I honestly believe 'age' is relative.
I've never really been all that intrigued by any of the celebrities I've met. I will say that Flo Rida was really nice and had an awesome car, so I guess that counts.
I haven't done 'real' movies, but I've done 'real' magazines and 'real' books. I'm more proud of those than any movies or tv appearances.

Depends on how cold it is, and what the social setting is. I never wear ankle length skirts due to my height.

When you dance, are you eye contact or eyes closed?
Never close my eyes, but sometimes making eye contact is kinda hard. It depends on my mood, how big the stage is, the song, and the feel of the crowd. There are a few places that keep me so far away from the crowd that I can't really make much eye contact, but if I can find ways to interact with people, I do.
I'm more likely to stick out my tongue/cross my eyes/make a silly face at somebody than to do something 'sexy'. I'm silly at work, it's just how I roll.

When it comes to selling dances, it depends on the club. Some places allow me to do them, others don't. They *do* let me do them at CG, though. =)

When you say spiritual do you mean 'Does Ginger believe in some dogmatic force that makes her live her life in fear?'. If that's what you mean, no.
If you mean 'Does Ginger believe that there is a way to connect to each other on a human level, to make things better for the world as a whole and not just a 'chosen few''?' then the answer would be yes.
I believe that when people base their entire value system on something that teaches them to fear things that are 'different' or not always in line with their 'beliefs', it sets things up to make a hateful and fearful world. Acceptance and willingness to learn and grow (spiritually or otherwise) is far more important than sitting around being scared of things because somebody tells me that's the way I'm supposed to live.

Does your openness about your life and the fact that you've done porn ever make you anxious about the future? Know one really knows how having so much of peoples "private" lives on the internet forever will impact them in, say 20 years.
I think people, no matter where they've come from, will have things they've done in their lives used against them in various ways. The internet just makes it a bit easier than it used to be. I kinda look at it like....if somebody is horribly offended by the fact that I've run around half naked at some point in my life, and that's the only thing they're able to focus on as opposed to how I am in person/out in public/how I act toward society in general, they've got the problem not me.
I live a pretty boring/normal life when I'm not at work. None of the people I've volunteed with, done classes with, sangha's I have visited, homeless people I have helped, etc. have ever given a crap. They were just thankful that somebody cared enough to show up and take part in something to help others/learn something/try to make a difference. I don't parade around trying to bring attention to myself in the 'real world', I just do what I feel is right and go on about my day.

I think I've read before you use to dance in North Carolina. Did you every dance at Thee Dollhouse in Raleigh? If so what was your stage name and how did you like it?
I have actually never danced in Raleigh. I've danced in Charlotte, Winston Salem, and spent my first days on stage at Camp Lejeune.
I've had plenty of strippers basically try to molest me during lap dances. Why do you portray it as so terrible to have contact with customers when that clearly isn't always true for many strippers?
That's why I said it is true in my case, but it may not be true with others. It's something that varies from girl to girl.
Different parts of the country have different 'norms', and each girl has a different comfort zone. When I dance I...dance. I'm not trying to get people off, or grab their junk, or make out with them. I was 'raised' by strippers that taught me that it was about teasing, not fulfillment.
(I'm also a major germaphobe, so that probably has something to do with it.)

How did you move on from dancer to porn star? And do you find it difficult to deal with the stereotypes that are constant with both professions? I get offended when people make assumptions about dancers because they're insulting my friends.
Blame Nashville's strip club laws for moving from just dancing to doing other things. They made them so restrictive a few years back that it became quite pathetic.
The stereotype thing is frustrating, but I've gotten used to certain parts of it. Obviously there are trainwreck dancers, but there are trainwreck lawyers, doctors, teachers, and just about every other profession. The only difference seems to be that the doctors and lawyers and such hide most of their trainwreck-ness for after work, while some dancers decide to bring theirs along with them. The best/most successful/most beautiful/amazing dancer I have ever know is bat shit crazy when she's not at work, but she's the most refined/pleasant/elegant/entertaining girl on the planet when she straps on her heels.

How/why did you become a dancer? I've asked a couple of dancers I've become good friends with (more than just a "regular" and they never seem to give me a straight answer.
I was super, super shy before I was a dancer. I'd never even been to a strip club before I went in to get a job. I actually went in to apply to be a waitress, but the manager told me I'd make more money as a dancer so I should try that instead. Somewhere between filling out that application and talking to a couple dancers, I was taken to the dressing room, loaned a pair of stripper shoes that I promptly fell out of, and tumbled on to the stage.
I'd never been so terrified in my life. I had no idea what to do, or how to do it, and it felt like the whole planet was watching me up there on that stage. For the most part the audition was a blur, I just remember getting off stage 10 minutes later, having nearly $30 bucks, and realizing how long I'd have to work at DQ or Chick-Fil-A to make that same $30 dollars.
I was scared shitless, so I packed my stuff, talked to the manager, and told him I'd decide if I could come back to try again within 48 hours. 48 hours later I worked my first full shift and never looked back. I got lucky, I had a 'stripper idol' that helped me learn along the way, and I'm still learning from her today. Without her I'd have probably not even lasted a month before getting fired.
I've only been to 4 clubs, and had wildly different experiences. Two of them didn't allow any touching, one was fully nude with touching (boobs and butt only) and my current club it seems to be up to the girls. How do you feel about customers and 2nd base
*Disclaimer* All the stuff I'm saying is how I feel about certain things, other dances may be the total opposite.
I have a major aversion to people touching me during dances. It messes up my 'flow' and I end up playing 'ninja stripper' for the whole song. I hate having to do it. The only thing worse is when people attempt to grab my hips & hold me in place when I'm sitting on their laps, people who attempt to put their tongues in my ear or lick me, or people that try and 'hump' during dances. It's just weird.
Speaking of people that have a hard time keeping their hands and/or tongues to themselves, I just remembered I've got a blog to write about one of those experiences.

You're welcome. I'd rather have people ask than go to clubs and act like asshats because they have no idea what they should do in certain situations.
(And as long as you don't tell a dancer you're not interested in that she's ugly/fat/old/whatever, you should be ok. Tact makes all the difference in the world, and if you're a dick to a girl most of the time we hear about it in the dressing room rather quickly, so playing nice goes a long way.)
Sometimes, it seems like the girls are sitting with customers, and other times, it's like they're sitting with friends. I've seen girls sit with the same guys for hours, without ever giving them dances. Is this normal, or do I just visit bad clubs?
There are guys I will sit with all night without doing a single dance. More often than not, that guy is paying me to sit there & talk to him, and paying me well. It probably looks like I'm just sitting on my ass talking to some random dude all night, but there is no way in hell I'm sitting anywhere very long just to do it.
Not all dancers work this way, but it's how things normally work for me.
Also, if I'm sitting at my table, and a dancer I'm not interested in sits down, how do I tell her I'm not interested without her getting angry. I've tried the "I'm not getting dances tonight" line, but it never seems to work.
It really depends on the girl. Normally I won't sit for more than a song or two without asking, and if they say they're not ready/they're not getting dances/they need another drink/etc., I tell them I've gotta get back to work, will check in on them later, and off I go.
If you're waiting on a certain girl, just say so. If it's a dancer that hasn't asked for a dance/you're not really 'feeling' her and she has just been sitting there for a while, the 'I need to run to the restroom/run outside to use my phone/go tip that random girl on stage' excuses are a non-dickish way to (hopefully) get her to move along.
What is good strip club etiquette? If I want a dance from a girl, but she's been sitting with another guy or other strippers, is it okay to approach and ask for a dance?
Not if she's with another guy! I've seen all kinds of problems take place because of a guy approaching a dancer when she was sitting with a customer. Wait until she's on stage, go up to tip her, and when you do let her know you'd like to get a dance from her, or ask one of the waitresses if she could let said dancer know you'd like a dance. (That version works best if you pay the waitress for doing so. Motivation, for real.) If she's sitting with other dancers and there are no customers in sight, go talk to her.

It honestly depends on what part of the country I am in, how big the town I'm working in is, what each club's marketing approach is, and what time of year it is. The smaller the town, the better I tend to do. Like, I was in MS a few months ago, and even though they're a dirt poor state & I was in the middle of nowhere, I made awesome money.

Why did you want to stay in the South? Nashville's cool, but I could see you in Jersey City or Hoboken, NJ. You could have a place with a view of New York City that is the best in the world.
I don't do well up north. I hate the cold. Hate it. The weather, the pace of things, and the traffic all make me grumpy. I can tolerate PA/NJ/NY for a couple of days, but after that it wears on me.

I've been here 6 years now. Nashville always seemed like a cool city, I wanted to be in the south, but not in a town so small that I could make it across town in 10 minutes. Nashville's pretty, the people are friendly, and there are tons of things to 'do' around here most of the time. I love it most of the time.
What is the funniest thing that you have done while under the influence? ---Doesn't matter the substance of choice...just make with the funny!
When I have too much sugar or too many energy drinks I do 'interpretive dance' on stage. I act out whatever songs are being played in the most overdramatic way possible. Other than that, I'm never actually under the influence of anything....

How did you get involved into meditation and Buddhism?
I've been in a really stressful/life altering situation the past year/year and a half, and I got to the point where I was willing to try just about anything to get a bit of peace. Enter meditation and Buddhism and the concepts that it embraces and teaches. It's helped me on multiple levels so far, so I'm gonna keep doing it.
