I didn't say I think he's mean or hateful. I said that he's a bigot that believes homosexuality is on the same level as alcoholism-it can be 'cured' if you want it bad enough. Equating homosexuality with an addiction or some sort of perversion is harmful and wrong. It's been proven over and over that homosexuality isn't a mental illness or an addiction, so suggesting such things is offensive.

He may say all kinds of wonderful things that inspire and help people, but I cannot and will not ignore his stance on such an important subject.
